Hello,

I have a Brewtus II and I recently replaced both a leaky OPV and then the
Ulka vibe pump. Since then, I am unable to get the brew consistent pressure
as I used to when I had the machine completely dialed in for beautiful
shots.

First, the pressure was varying up and down during brew cycle, and after
turning the OPV adjustment up and down all the way several times, the
pressure now is mostly steady during a shot. However, when the wand is
pulled down to complete the shot, the water in the brew head is not
completely expelled, and the machine brew pressure gauge holds steady at
the brew pressure of around 9 bars. For the pressure to drop down to 1-2
bars, I have to quickly lift the wand up and down again, and let little
water drain out of the group head drain.

This behavior is also evident when back flushing - earlier the back flush
ended with a strong "whooosh!" and expelled the water with considerable
force from the drain. Now, the outflow of the water from the drain is not
strong, but ends more with a slow stream. Again, the pressure is not strong
enough when the brew wand is pulled down again.

The spent grounds in the portafilter loose and watery top surface - not
like a dry puck that I used to have earlier.

Any thoughts on how I can solve this pressure problem? I have made sure the
water lines are not kinked, I have also replaced the rubber gasket in the
group head sieve.

Any thoughts/help much appreciated! My shots are nowhere near the beautiful
ones I used to have!!

Ken.
