Guessing that your heating element is dead.  You are only seeing temp increase 
due to the heat exchange with the steam boiler, I think.  In other words, the 
brew boiler is doing nothing, but seems like it is.

It's pretty simple to test--read ohms resistance across the two terminals of 
the boiler with no wires attached.  I forget the normal range, but look in the 
archives or online.  You'll find it.
