My brewtus has a vibe pump so it works somewhat differently. If I had it I would connect it to the water supply and plug it in and see what happens. It's hard to diagnose anything with it unplugged and no water supply. It may have been a bad gfi. I think once you plug it in and tell us what's happening you'll have more responses.
