The B-III rotary unit does not need water pressure to work. The hose can be dropped into a jug of water up to three feet below the unit (think 'beverage cart') and as long as the jug is not sealed, it sucks the water right up. I suspect that more than half of them are used in that manner. I have used mine that way for years.
