Further to Todd’s comments, having dealt with this myself—it’s not worth the trouble to clean, especially after 7 years. I removed mine and had it *immaculate* and it would still stick, probably from wear that wasn’t readily apparent. It is not a super-easy part to remove, so replacing it solves the problem with no risk of having to do the job all over again. Just my two cents…and good luck. bmc
