One down and one to go.

You were spot on Ben that the issues are independent. I suppose I should have 
guessed that but...

I cleaned out the steam tip in a container with a bit of Cafiza and made sure 
any gunk was gone. Steaming milk now is amazing. That seemed to be it. I had 
always wiped down the steam wand after each use but didn't take of the tip to 
clean that separately. It looks like that needs to be part of the regular (or 
semi-regular) cleaning routine. In addition to coffee, I sometimes make Chai 
Latte tea and use the steam wand to get the tea concentrate up to temperature. 
I use concentrates which probably have sugar in them to help gunk things up. 
Now that I know it won't be a problem anymore. 

With the tip clogged like it used to be, there was a very long hissssssssssss 
after turning off the steam wand. Now that its clean, it's more like a hisss.


Now I'll turn attention to the brew pressure issue which is another day.
