Hello, My 2007 Brewtus II has been having issues where the steam boiler doesn't fill when the machine is up to full temperature. It fills when you turn the machine on in the morning however when it is up to temperature the pump no longer fills the boiler, for example when you flow water out the hot water valve the pump does not re-fill the boiler. This morning when cold, the pump ran much longer than normal, when I made a cappuccino it tasted like burnt electrical components. I thought I had burnt up the heating element however it had 13 Ohmz. across terminals which is the correct resistance. I took the element out anyway as I couldn't think of what else would be in contact with the water to make it taste of burnt electrical, the element had quite a bit of mineral deposit on it but looks intact. I'm thinking I need a new control board but clearly that wouldn't cause the electrical taste. Also, the inside of the boiler appears to be coated in a thin black colored layer of film? I have previously replaced the temperature controller with a PID. Any thoughts on the source of the foul burnt electrical taste? Does a the new control board sound like a good place to start? Any other parts associated that I should get at the same time from WLL? Thanks for any help, Happy new year! Eric Larson
