Eric,
I think you’re on the right track. The pstat controls steam pressure and they’re definitely subject to failure. That’d be my first move but others may have more ideas. Good luck, Jonathan From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Eric Christoffersen Sent: Thursday, October 17, 2019 10:40 PM To: Brewtus <[email protected]> Subject: Steam boiler overpressure Brewtus 2 with pid and lots of other replaced parts. Heard hissing from machine and assumed it was a leaking vacuum breaker valve. Replaced oring even though old looked good. Tonight i heard hissing again and luckily noticed the steam pressure was pegged. Opened the tap and it took a lot of water and steam before pressure dropped. The overpressure switch didnt fire, but i guess thats just if the pressure valve doesnt leak. So... Whats the part i need? Is it the pstat? Last time mine died there was no steam - i liked that failure mode better. Thanks! Eric -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Brewtus" group.
