Are there any opinions or specs on how much water volume/pressure you
should be getting via pre-infusion? I have an old BII that was converted to
rotary and plumbed in; with no portafilter in place, it draws about 8oz in
30 seconds with the lever on the half-way stop. Does this seem
high/low/depends? I have no filter on the line right now, so maybe that
would change it. It also seems to pre-infuse pretty fast. With a double
shot loaded in the porta-filter, coffee appears within 3 or 4 seconds, and
the extraction speed is only slightly slower than with the pump running.
Seems wrong somehow, but I'm not sure what I would be adjusting, other than
maybe something in the water line itself.
