Reinard , I had a big problem with the Brewtus II brew boiler probe when I tried to remove it to switch to a PID. I gave up and drove from NYC to Rochester to WLL. I spoke to Todd aa the time. It turns out that for a few years, Expobar was using an epoxy thread sealer that was serious over kill.
The technician at WLL couldn't move it and finally got it our by heating up the brew boiler until it came to operating temperature. At that point it was easy to unscrew.
