hi, This is Prayas, a grad student at Case Western Reserve University, Ohio.
i installed the bridge utility in RH 7.3 with two Ethernet interface (eth0 and eth1). After bridge configuration (by brctl) Problem is the Win 2K machine connected thru the bridge is also not able to get an IP thru DHCP. --------------- ------------ ------------- lan + dhcp server <--> linux bridge <-> win2K client ------------------ ------------ ------------- Status: I hv redhat 7.3, 2.4.2. i hv installed the brctl utility. Problems: 1) the br0 logical bridge which i make using brctl doesn't stay forever. It gets removed while rebooting. 2) the dhcpcd command doesn't provide an IP to the bridge. 3) the win2k client has got no access the rest of the LAN/internet.
