Yes it's possible (I've read it somewhere in a mail), however I haven't done this myself. Check out http://users.pandora.be/bart.de.schuymer/ebtables/battlefield_examples.html#Example3 to see how someone made a transparant Freeswan implementation using ebtables. If you don't want to use ebtables, you can use br-nf and redirect (in iptables PREROUTING) the traffic you want to your bridge box.
