Yes it's possible (I've read it somewhere in a mail), however I haven't done 
this myself.

to see how someone made a transparant Freeswan implementation using ebtables.

If you don't want to use ebtables, you can use br-nf and redirect (in iptables 
PREROUTING) the traffic you want to your bridge box. This should make the 
packets go through your proxy.

When you get this to work, I hope you will post a little setup describing how 
to get it to work. Or will someone else?
