Try these: Upgrade to kernel 2.4.20. You will not need the bridge-nf-0.0.7-against-2.4.19.diff
Your nics do not have ip address, but they need to have arp and promisc enabled: Ifconfig eth0 0.0.0.0 arp promisc Ifconfig eth1 0.0.0.0 arp promisc I think you may not need iproute.
