Greetings everyone.

Hopefully I have a simple question. I am running a bridging firewall and have been doing so for over six months now and its been working very nicely. Anyway, the box it was running on was running with full X (init level 5) which put some unnecessary load on the machine, so I have just dropped it down to console level with init level 3.

Still works nicely, however the messages from the firewall which use to get dumped straight to /var/log/messages now also show up on the console. Very annoying when you are trying to do something and lots of packets are being dropped.

Is there an easy way to stop this?

        Thanks,
                Ryan.
