I am setting up an ethernet bridge with one wireless interface and have a
problem getting it to work. I know the wireless and ethernet cards both can
connect to the network without the bridge setup, so I know both interfaces
are working on their own. But after creating br0, adding both interfaces to
br0, bringing both interfaces up with 0.0.0.0 as IPs and then bringing br0
up, the bridge still does not work. I even setup a bridge with just two
wired ethernet cards and that did work for me, so I know that I am doing the
right steps and my kernel works with bridging.

Do I need to do something special with my wireless card in order to get it to
work in a bridge? I have seen some info about needing a wireless card that
can do master (AP) mode. Is this required for bridging? I only want the
wireless card to connect up to an access point, I do not want it to act as an
access point itself.

any help would be great.

Thanks
