Do I need to do something special with my wireless card in order to get it to work in a bridge? I have seen some info about needing a wireless card that can do master (AP) mode. Is this required for bridging? I only want the wireless card to connect up to an access point, I do not want it to act as an access point itself.
I believe you may need a firmware upgrade for your wireless device so that it can function as a bridge port - Even though the network device is set to promisc in Linux, I believe that something in the firmware will still drop packets which do not belong to it. I tried to bridge a wireless device a year or so ago, realised it was too much hard work and gave up.
