John! Say what you like about the story, but "The Patriot" was a beautiful
film to watch (and no that doesn't mean Mel Gibson and Heath Leger,
either). It was filmed wonderfully, and the costuming was first rate. I
don't remember much about ID4 except, *boom*, **BANG**, blowin' up stuff,
etc. It certainly did well at the box office, I might add.
Anyway, so much depends on the director. Are these guys director types?
or producer types? Or just highly paid mogul types?
I'd like "Startide Rising" to be well made, as well as a commercial
success, but that may be too much to hope for.
