Definately not. They used to start first year criminology lectures with a
description of a 13th C execution in which the person was still alive 4
hours after he'd had all his limbs, his genitals, his eyes, his tongue and
most of his skin removed and he'd been dumped on a burning midden, but they
stopped because too many people were throwning up in the aisles.
