There's the concept of Chi (or Qi) in Taoism.  It's thought to represent the life
force of a person, sorta like the charge in a battery.  Practitioners of Qi Gong 
believe the
exercises and meditation involved in this activity enhances and increases the Qi.

Then there's also Yin and Yang, the essences of light and dark that are thought to 
reside also
in the body.  An imbalance of either one would result in illnesses and other nasty 
things.
This concept underlies much of chinese medicine and also cooking.

knowing.

It's a fairly personal thing, and I think that it's something unique to each 
individual,
so that you have to find out on your own.  That's why I bonk people who preach and 
proselyte. :)
