The Gandalara Cycle by Randall Garrett & Vicki Ann Hedron is about a
civilization ages ago that turns out to be in the Mediterranean; our hero
is knocked back in time and figures this out just in time to evacuate some
folks before the Atlantic is done spilling over into it.
