Alas, you clearly make the point of the greatest fallacy of democracy.
Democracy states that the state cannot discriminate against someone
regardless of how stupid they are. Voters can vote themseles into oblivion.
This means anyone can do stupid things like vote for "Bill the Cat" (or
libertarian, like me), if they want.

Do they deserve to vote again? Popular opinion may or may not agree. There
is no correct answer. One can't take a stand, without discriminating or
taking advantage for gain.
