In New York, at least in the primaries, the name of the elector is listed
in bold type, and the name of the actual candidate in smaller print.

In my opinion, any elector which does not actually have his or her name on
the ballot should be legally bound to vote for the candidate to which he or
she was pledged.    (Of course, ideally, I prefer not having the name of
the contenders on the ballot at all, and only the names of unpledged
electors, but that's another story. :)
