I must disagree with you here. The way to determine the winner in an 
election is to count the votes. Since the first count apparently went 
wrong, it is reasonable that they are counted again. So, the way I see it, 
the Democrats are merely trying to let the democratic process take its 
course, while the Republicans do their best to NOT let that happen (hence 
the expression "sabotage").

To me, it's the Republicans who make themselves look bad, not the Democrats.
