There was a recent thread in which democracy in S America was mentioned and
IIRC the views expressed were what I would regard as being from the
viewpoint of the right of the right wing. I do not recall the author(s?) and
did not consider that you may have been one of them. On reflection I retract
the fascist description because that would describe the puppet "democratic"
presidents (Pinochet) assisted into power with the aid of the CIA rather
than the viewpoints of the author(s). For describing the viewpoints of the
author(s) as fascist, I apologise for my sloppy thinking. Thank you for
pointing this out to me. Please be reassured that when typing that sentence,
I did not have you in mind.
It would appear that we have opposing points of view regarding the existence
of Orwellian propaganda and whether we can get closer to "Utopia" though you
will note that I agreed with many of your other viewpoints. I am not asking
you to change your views but simply stating my own partly because it helps
my own understanding if I have to articulate or justify them. I accept that
we all have different opinions on many different things and doubt whether I
will be able to influence or coerce strangers on the net by abusing them.
(Because the terms fascist and communist are used as terms of abuse in the
west). If I do hurl deliberate abuse sometime in the future, then I hope I
will be the one that suffers the most because I will have been the twit who
lost his temper.
I'm quite happy if you disagree with my views.
I do not mind if you dismiss them as the ravings of a madman but I did
provide some examples to some of the main points which I think support them.
