Darryl, I won't call you a fascist, calling you poo-head is more fun. ;p

Question, though:

>Helpful hint. Fascists do not believe in:
>1. Constitutional government.
>2. Capitalism.
>3. Democracy.

I thought that the fascists were more against big business steamrolling
small business, than they were against capitalism -- the fear being that
any business that got too big would be a potential threat to absolute
power. They were all about Mom'n'Pop business, though, or at least that's
what was explained to me once. Is that so?

I have to admit not having read much about it, though from what little I
have read, IIRC a lot of interest existed in fascist discussions not just
directed at issues of production, industrialization, and wealth, but also
at systems of currency and so on (such as Ezra Pound's horrible tracts on
how great life would be if money were all inherently designed to
continually devalue and only maintain value with scrip stickers or
something like that, to facilitate continual expenditure, and so on). My
impression is that there was a wider interest in versions of capitalist
systems among fascists, just not versions we'd necessarily be willing to
choose as a replacement for our current one (not even I would like that).
But I could look up more on that if nobody's got more info. This is all
hazy recollections and so on, and this is really NOT my area, which is why
I'd love mroe info if anyone knows either way.

More on 1984 in the other thread, probably tonight or tomorry. Promise! :)
