        Interesting.  I got one of those from another class a year
ago.  Thinking "That's a neat idea!", I emailed them, only to
discover that the response had been so overwhelming that they had
to close their account.
        And now not many people are responding?  My thoughts after
the first one were that these things always grow at an exponential
rate.  If the exponent is much more than 1, the originators get
overwhelmed.  If it's less than 1, they get only a few responses.
So this email chain manages to have an exponent of 1 + epsilon?
