Some of the ideas we've discussed (e.g. personal flying device,
hyperefficient home power generator) will do better with a well controlled
but big and splashy launch. As has been mentioned, they're not altogether
new; if we hear the details before we get the whiz-bang niftyness it won't
make nearly as big a deal - even if it *is* revolutionary. Put another way,
nothing is as exciting if you already know all the details, and excitement
leads to sales.

If it is a generator, it's interesting to consider moving back to a gaslight
era. :) It would also suck as I just payed $2500 to have the electric lines
to my house run through a trench instead of over the neighbor's playground
(clearance of about 2 ft. - what were they thinking?!?).
