It's not the TOP of the shoe, it's the TOE -- as in, I might kick the poor
thing in the head.  Well, the one more likely to be whapped is Miranda,
who has the thicker skull of the two.  (And she's more likely to inflict
damage on me with her skull than the other one is.)

I think that when it gets more difficult to tie shoes sitting on the edge
of the bed, I'm going to have to break out the folding chair every morning
for shoe-tying.
