Um, can we admit that there is a difference between spying FOR the evil
people and spying AGAINST the evil people?
Just like fighting FOR Nazi Germany is bad, but fighting AGAINST it is
good. It's not the fighting or the spying that's bad, it is the
effects of the spying or fighting.
Harming the security of western civilization is bad. Trying to
increase the security of western civilization is good. Ergo, spying on
the Soviets is good, spying for the Soviets is bad. Remember all those
nuclear missles? Tank Divisions in Poland? Etc?
