He was taking OTC, but apparently too much of it. Yeah, he certainly bears
responsibility if he did. But the advertising still seems unethical.

Was it OTC or prescription ibuprofen? Read the fine print or the leaflet
that comes with the package - it warns you not to take more than a few
200mg pills a day without consulting a doctor because there are serious
risks with high doses! You can still get 600 and 800mg pills with a
prescription, altho the doctor might just say take 3-4 of the OTC ones and
save your money. (Depends I guess on how gooda prescription health plan
you have.)
I think the problem is that people fail to inform themselves adequately
and blindly believe advertising. Yeah, using a drug to mask pain from
overexercising is *stupid* and I'm apalled that any ad campaign woulld
encourage that. Pain is your body's way of telling you something is
*wrong*. As n, "let up on that," or "see a doctor."
