Really? Do you have a six shooter strapped to your thigh? I don't, in fact I
own no pistols. If someone broke into my house it would be damn tough for me
to get the ammo and the long irons together, but are you calling me armed
because I own weapons and know how to use them? Well what percentage of the
populous does that cover? When I read what Henlein wrote I see that if your
aren't armed and are attacked, there are four people within shouting
distance who are armed and will be running to your defense post haste..

And about people breaking into houses when no one is home, on the culture
list a few weeks ago a person in England had their apartment broken into
while three of them were asleep. In my home town a teenager skipped school
to rob some houses. In the third house the owner was home. He threw the kid
out a window breaking his arm and giving him the obvious cuts. Then he had
to stand there for an hour waiting for the police to show up. (It's a part
time force, they don't have officers working durning the day.)

Seriously what wrongs are you trying to correct? All the damn statistics in
the world won't save you when the time comes. People wring their hands over
someone owning a gun but Americans aren't smart enough to lose weight or go
to the doctor once a year for a check-up. Two young brothers died when they
were ridding snow tubes and broke through ice on a pond. Their parents were
right there. They had walked on the pond, and it was cold enough for long
enough to be frozen. But it happened. It's hard to compare that with a kid
shooting another in school, one is a true accident. You can do all you want
to protect your little cube of the universe but bad things will still
happen.
