What the heck happened at the end? One minute, they were
about to escape through the nearest transwarp conduit, which
led back to the Delta Quadrant. (In other words, Gilligan just
broke the coconut radio again. ;-) ) The next minute, they
destroy and fly out of the Borg sphere, which they may or may
not have been riding inside, and pop out right next to the Solar
System. Did I miss something there?

I'm thinking that the only reason Starfleet didn't court
martial her ass in the original timeline was because she'd
figured out some useful tactics against the Borg on the long
flight home... :-)

Take that recent episode with the rebelling holograms. Picard
would have granted them sanctuary, and worked hard to prove
they deserved status as Federation members, like he did with
Data. What does she do? She puckers up and kisses hologram-
torturing alien ass for a while. The Doctor decides to defect
and help the holograms, so at the end of the episode, *he*
ends up apologizing to *her.*

Of course she was right, and he was wrong, because at the
end, the hologram leader turned out to be a religious nut
who went around slaughtering people who use holograms.
Things worked out very conveniently that way. ;-)

And the TransWarp Hub was all fractal-y and kinda cool-looking.
Other than that, I give the finale a big... "eh." ;-)
