Especially since, in most places, the gas station is not making any money
on the sale of gas. Most of the time, retail gasoline is a loss leader to
get you into the convenience store.
Just because you see "ExxonMobil" at your retail gasoline station, does not
mean that the crude oil was drilled by ExxonMobil, or that the crude oil
was refined into gasoline by ExxonMobil.
