As I said in a previous post, the Isle of Man still had the death penlty for murder (but no means of enforcing it). A few years ago (about 6 or 7, iirc), a murderer was sentenced to death on Man, and Royal Lenience was invoked to reduce this to a life sentence on Her Majesty's Pleasure. Charlie
