But Sonja. What you should have done was see another lawyer. This
particular person didn't have the stomach for a fight. Find another
one. It's like if you find a doctor who tells you that there's nothing
you can do about your terminal illness. Well, maybe he thinks so, but
maybe he's wrong.
Yes, big corporations have deep pockets, and can absorb litigation
costs that small companies can't. But those guys got away with
cheating you because you felt it was too much trouble to go to court.
If you had gone to court, the government would have helped you. You
chose not to. You didn't have to listen to that lazy lawyer, you could
have nailed there hides to the door. You could have gone to the
papers, you could have done lots of things. Don't blame the courts
that you didn't access them.
If a guy had grabbed your purse and ran off with it and you don't call
the cops, does that mean that the cops don't work to prevent crime? We
don't live in police states, the cops have to be called or they won't
respond. Don't blame them!
