The waiting is finally over!
Today (Sunday, June 10, 2001) at 13:40 hours, Sonja gave birth to a
beautiful and healthy baby boy. He will go through life as...
Tom van Baardwijk
...and he weighs 3,560 grams (for some reason, his length wasn't measured).
Mother and child are still at the hospital, and doing just fine; daddy is
still recovering from the experience... :)
Everyone who saw the baby said he looked exactly like his father -- which,
of course, means he's absolutely adorable. <grin>
But seriously, yes, he does look just like me, right down to the red hair,
grey-blue eyes and the shape of his ears. So far, the only thing which he
definitely got from Sonja are his hands..
Of course, a lot of pictures were taken today; I'll put the best ones up on
my website ASAP.
