I saw it! It was the 2nd version of Twilight Zone [the coloured remake]. And what
happens is that Krushev is assassinated just after the aborted murder of Kennedy,
and the next Russian Czar starts a nuclear war. And it's not JFK that goes
back to be murdered, it's the time traveller himself, a descendant of JFK, that
takes his part.
