Russia to revive Buran? That's the plan. Apparently it makes economic sense
right now for Energia to revive the shuttle due to its lifting capacity.

I still wouldn't give it very good odds, but it would be nice to see a
competitor to the US shuttle program - especially a comercially driven one.
Interesting note in the article - it mentions that two Buran-type shuttles
were built. I was only aware of one.
http://liftoff.msfc.nasa.gov/rsa/buran.html indicates that only one was
completed, and two under construction were dismantled.
