I have Family Tree Maker, and I've been reasonably happy with that. I'm
not sure the version I have will allow the recording of stories easily.
I've got to go to CompUSA this week anyway, I can try to find the latest
version of Family Tree Maker to see if it supports that, and if so, it
should do you fine.
