Are you thinking of the Jedi's ability to parry blaster fire with their
lightsabers? Actually I don't think they are really able to do this.
They just use the force to know where the blaster fire *is going to be*
and move the lightsaber there *before* the blaster is fired. So they
don't have to move the lightsaber superluminally. Or so goes my
rationalization.
Of course, it really isn't established that blasters are really lazers.
I know that some ships use "turbolazers", whatever they are, but
blasters could be anything. Perhaps they are particle weapons, not
photon weapons. In that case they could fire at well below c. But if
blaster fire is less than c, the Enterprise has an even greater
advantage...it can simply *outrun* blaster fire.
