Is it true that while 188 countries supported the Kyooto Protocol, only
Romania actually ratified it?

Gee, one of my cowokers is from there. She came here in the cold war days,
though.....

(Yes Jeroen, I agree America sucks as far as the environment goes, it's
just that leaving is nontrivial if you don't have a desperately needed
technical skill)

There is NO HOPE for humanity because saving the environment requjires
much longer term thinking than is POSSIBLE under the laws of economics or
the needs of businesses who work out bottom lines in quarterly
terms. THerefore, we ar all going to die.

A politician who starts a nuclear war is a war criminal. Bush is a war
criminal who won't pay for his crimes because it is future generations he
is condemnikng to slow death.

How slow? 70 - 90 years? Seriously Kristin why don't you grab an apple, go outside and
sit in a park and think happy thoughts for a while? I'm not trying to say anything is
wrong with you (I know how screwed up I am), I am just offering the advice that you
maybe need to calm down a little, stop worrying so much about so many things. Please,
this is true honest advice.

Here is a nice easy example: if kids, skateboarders, wanted to build a half-pipe in an
unused field in a city park, would they be better recieved by the city council if they
dressed nice, spoke respectfully, had good facts to support their case, and had
practiced before hand by getting some other adults to agree to their point of view. Or
should they just bust down the council's door during the meeting, on skateboards,
dressed in their baggy-underwear showing shorts, and bang on stuff and yell until they
either got their way or was thrown out?

Even when you don't get your way (the collective way, not you specifically) maybe it's
time to realize that you're an adult and sometimes things just don't happen they way
you think they should.
