Additionally, his "conversion" came about when he challenged a 
Economist, Julian Simon, to a debate on the "state of the 
environment."  In the process of preparing this challenge, however, 
he discovered that the evidence actually supported Mr. Simon's 
viewpoint.  That viewpoint is now well-represented in the book, as 
well as a condensed version of the book in the article that I have 
recommended.
