And, 'elected by the people' is a far cry from 'rule by divine right'.  What
matters here
is not that one family rules dynastically (?is this a word?),
but instead, that members of that family have been voted into office.  The
same goes for any American oligarchy voted in through the democratic process

.
 They remain in office at the whim of the majority, and not because they
'deserve' to be there for any other reason.
