Are suicide bombers who kill 20 civilians better than those who kill 5000,
or just less able to get a big target? Given that you and I agree that this
is an act of war, I don't think that we can count on the morality of those
who might be willing to wage war on the United States to limit that damage
that will be done. I think that the way wars are fought may be changing,
and we cannot count on eliminating the potential for such threats simply by
eliminating this group. If we train, fund, and arm questionable people, we
need to look at what happens if they decide that we are now the enemy. I
realize that its going to be a judgement call, but I don't think that we can
just assume that these people are unique.
