I haven't imagined that we've been having a discussion. You have offered a
certain point of view to this community; I have offered criticisms and other
ways to think about some of the things you have said. I'm certainly not
looking for or expecting your approval, I'm speaking to those who read your
words, which carry some weight around here. Speaking what one believes is
true, after all, is its own reward. On the other hand, some of the feedback
I receive from others here helps me to sharpen my thinking and language, so
I am seeking a certain amount of feedback even as I hope to persuade others
to see a different point of view. In other words, there are unselfish and
selfish aspects to participation in a community.

I am having a very hard time resisting poking fun at you again, given that
you've just announced there are differences within Christianity -- as if
that were news. That's been going on for a solid 2001 years or so. Anyway,
I am well aware that there are lots of Christians who don't agree with me in
many ways. Some are good friends and relatives, who manage to transcend the
differences and recognize that together we seek the same truth. As do you,
I'd wager, or I'm *really* wasting my time commenting on your words.
