> So how were things where you were?

My wife, a friend and I bundled up and climbed up on our roof at 1AM last
night. Turns out we have a perfect saddle in which to sit. Next time,
though, we'll all wear snow pants, wool socks and scarves, and bring
sleeping bags to sit on. :) We were out for about 2 hours, so shy of the
peak.

A light cloud cover or fog appeared in for a while until we could only see
Jupiter, but by around 2AM it had cleared. Several very impressive meteors,
including a few multiple skips. One that appeared right near the (focus?
source? damn, what's the word?) heading "downwards" broke apart
spectacularly several times.

Definitely worth it.
