I am thinking about the future - some future where democracy is extended from the West to the East [hmm... maybe I should write "Democracy should be interpolated from the Far-East, the West, the Far-North, the South-East... but it doesn't look so dramatic...].
Ok. Question: is democracy incompatible with Islam? Or is it possible to find some version of democracy that does not offend Islam? Alberto Monteiro
