I loved my '67 Impala (with the 327 engine and 4-barrel carb, though it could do 95 going uphill on just two barrels). Wish I knew where to find another one in anywhere near that condition. And compared to everything that chose to hit it, it was a tank. Like the time I was walking back to the car and saw some guy in a small car backing rapidly in the direction of my car. The impact did at least $1K worth of damage to the other car. I got a cracked taillight, which I was able to replace at a local junkyard. Even the boat that hit me that time in Florida while I was minding my own business on the road just outside Tyndall AFB only left a scratch, which some touch-up paint fixed adequately. And I never needed a truck to move. I bet I could get my whole 10" scope in the trunk, rather than just the tube as with a more modern vehicle. -- Ronn! :) God bless America, Land that I love!
