Absolutely!  Wasn't it Benjamin Franklin who said something along the lines 
of, "Those who would sacrifice liberty to gain a little security deserve 
neither liberty nor security"?

Temporary increased security measures and scrutiny I can see.  But 
suspension of basic habeas corpus and secret military tribunals I can't 
reconcile with what I believe the United States is about.
