Baseball season is over.

At the moment I think you'll find that both parties, and most Americans,
are perfectly aware of how these prisoners are being treated and have no
qualms about the fact whatsoever. Complaints may be lodged in triplicate
at the Pentagon. >>

*I* have qualms. I have concerns when this country treats *anyone*
inhumanely. It goes against the founding principles of our land. Period.
There isn't really any excuse for it, even considering what vile pieces of
murderous scum the Taliban are. We are Americans. That has to mean
something.

I have not really sat and watched the news on this subject. Until I do, I
won't post anything else until I have formed an informed opinion.

However.

Jeroen, speaking strictly for myself, I think it is time for you to stop
playing armchair quarterback on this subject.

An American colloquialism, that term refers to someone who makes decisions
about a game from the comfort of his living room without actually having any
a) directly experience
b) direct emotional involvement
c) full knowledge of the decision-making process or the thinking of the
people in charge.

This is a ****HIGHLY**** (I cannot stress this enough!!!) ****HIGHLY****
emotionally charged subject for Americans. Feeling Pro-Taliban?
Anti-American? Don't expect American listmembers to be nice about it right
now.
